In winter and especially at Mardi Gras donuts are in the spotlight, here is a recipe of donuts that changes with a little taste of exoticism and more! To test without hesitation!

  • 4 or 5 bananas
  • 1 lime
  • 200 g flour
  • ½ teaspoon of yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 30 cl of water
  • 6 tablespoons cold water
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • salt
  • icing sugar
  • frying oil

Wash the lemon, remove the zests, squeeze its juice.

Mix the juice with 6 tablespoons water and 2 tablespoons brown sugar.

Peel the bananas, slice them into 1 cm slices. Place them in a dish, sprinkle with lemon juice.

To prepare the donut dough, pour the flour, yeast, egg, lemon zest, salt and cold water into a bowl without stirring. Mix. It does not matter if lumps are forming in the dough.

Heat the cooking oil.

Dip the banana slices into the dough and then into the hot oil.

When they are brown, remove the donuts with a skimmer and put them on paper towels.

Sprinkle with icing sugar, serve warm.
